Gender-neutral bogs in every BBC building - yet another victory for cultural Marxists!

Rejoice! I can't be certain, of course, but I suspect that the vast majority of us aren't totally relaxed about using unisex loos - ...

... - the last time I had to was in Belgium, and it gave me the willies (as it were). I can't for the life of me understand why one's choice of lavatory shouldn't be dictated by whether or not one is in possession of a penis: I mean, you either are or you aren't. Feeling that you're somehow trapped in the wrong body shouldn't have anything to do with it. And I'm not really clear as to why licence-payers should be expected to fund paid leave for BBC staff who, for whatever reason, feel the need to have their private parts surgically altered.

But, of course, this has nothing to do with logic or genuine need. It's about undermining traditional assumptions and attitudes - or, to put it another way, inconveniencing the overwhelming majority of us normies by changing our environment, habits and expectations in order to right some imaginary wrong. Major social changes in the past - such as the legalisation of homosexuality and making abortions easier to obtain - came about after many years of public debate and considerable pressure being exerted by numerous people for and against. A genuine attempt was made to change pubic attitudes before new measures were introduced (even then, they didn't invariably enjoy majority support).

Nowadays, none of that seems to be considered necessary - all it takes is a few Guardian Comment Is Free pieces, a handful of obsessive activists screaming demands, the collusion of a clutch of virtue-signalling politicians and broadcasters, and - within the blink of an eye - we've suddenly got gay marriage, hate crime laws and gender neutral khazis. Cultural Marxists are now so confident of achieving their goals, they feel absolutely no need to get the public onside - and  if we object, tough luck!

I'd only just read the BBC item when someone tweeted this Margaret Thatcher quotation:
That pretty much nails it. By the time we've stopped rolling out eyes in disbelief at the latest ridiculous wheeze dreamt up by cultural Marxists, it's become the new normal. You've got to hand it to these bastards: they've got it down to a fine art!

Yes you're right-it's like the persistent drip of Chinese water torture and it has gone on for years and years and years. Slowly making everyone insane and unable to think reasonably or rationally. Changing the British tolerant "Live and let live" way to an imposed dictatorial "Do as I say!"

    1. Indeed it would. Though not myself Jewish, I am an admirer of many Yiddish expressions which in a few words seem to cover all that is needed. In this case, "Oy!!!" contains all the disappointment, depression, aggravation, sorrow etc. that one might feel when the world does not appear to wag as one would wish it to.
