The Labour Party just completed the longest suicide leadership contest in political history - a nation mourns!

The new Dear Leader's first action? A visit to a rally welcoming Syrian refugees.

  1. also a guinea a minute to hear Tom Watson's victory speech as Deputy Leader. It was supposed to be brief...

  2. I heard Watson's speech. It was supposed to last only three minutes, or so they told us, but he droned on and on and it felt like a bleedin' month.
The best news is that, due to several resignations and a drastic lack of alternatives, Diane Abbot looks likely to find herself in the shadow cabinet. Ye gods!
Some of Labour's elders look as though their in a state of shock.

    1. I bailed out after a couple of minutes. I have to admit. Whenever I see Tom Watson's face, I can't get the phrase "fat wanker" out of my mind. I see that the porkster has been telling Labour MPs to unite behind Corbyn - this from a man who showed absolutely no loyalty to Tony Blair when the latter was PM, speaking on behalf of a man who has spent his whole parliamentary career voting against his own party! As for Abbott, the more the public sees of her, the better for UKIP and the Conservative Party: every time she opens her mouth, I reckon, Labour loses another 10,000 votes.

  3. Corby is not that bad. This morning he popped into the dressing room at Old Trafford before the start and gave the England ODI team a pep talk. He told Moeen Ali and Rashid that they would always be welcome here in spite of being crap spin bowlers. It had a tremendous effect on the team. He also said that if they won he would arrange for them to have a night out with Diane Abbot and Margaret Beckett. So he means well.....

    1. I am sure that the beardy old lefty terrorist-lover's pep talks to the Labour Party will guarantee it the same level of success as the England ODI team enjoyed earlier today.
