53-year old Berkley history graduate David Brock started life as a conservative. He worked as a journalist on the conservative Insight on the News before becoming a research fellow at The Heritage Foundation. He then morphed into a right-wing hit-man lobbing scandal grenades at the Clintons, producing books and writing for The American Spectator. This is what he looked like early in his career:
A distinctly "conservative nerd, complete with silly red bow-tie" vibe. He appears to have subsequently adopted a less dweebish, more full-on right-wing culture-warrior persona:
But then, in the late '90s, he took a turn to the left (which got him fired from his $300,000 American Spectator gig) and became a Hillary Clinton supporter - and this happened:
Not content with a few white highlights, he then went full platinum blond:
A sort of "Greetings, earthlings - I come from a far galaxy to bring you a message of peace" other-worldly number. This led other leading figures in the political-media world to follow suit:
But still Brock wasn't satisfied. Yet another radical rug re-think has now resulted in this rather startling schoolmarm/Christine Lagarde/Michael Heseltine mash-up:

David Brock is a confirmed bachelor. And, needless to say, a CAUC.
Once an old CAUC never a Cuckold,
ReplyDeleteBrock looks exactly like child actor Roddy McDowell and that is all I have to say about that.
ReplyDeleteMen of a certain age who take an unnatural interest in their tonsorial arrangement are always a concern. Our Chancellor of the Exchequer now looks like a spivvy bookie's runner and David Shing, Aol's Digital Prophet [this is his official job title], obviously suffers from mental illness? And as for 52-year old Johnny Depp I have no idea what he is trying to achieve with his hair -eternal youth? After 50, gentlemen, the answer is "en brosse"[see Field Marshall von Hindenburg].
Anything for the week-end, sir?
According to a previous commenter, Roddy McDowell was incredibly well-endowed - and I don't mean financially. This struck me as unlikely, but I've just checked on Google, and it appears to be true. I hope Mr. Brock is similarly blessed, as it would compensate him for a being an arse.
DeleteBut each, in his own way, has shown all the signs of being a big prick.
