The American Smoketree at Kew Gardens revisited

Yes, I know I've featured this glorious tree on this blog before, but as that was over three years ago, give me a break. As today was the only day this week promising sunshine (according to the Met Office's hilariously duff predictions) - and as the sun was actually shining when we woke up - we took ourselves off to Kew Gardens for our traditional autumn visit. The Great Storm of 2013 shredded quite a few of the maples, which are normally great value at this time, but there were enough yellow, gold and russet delights to satisfy our desire to celebrate this wonderful season.

By the way, these pumpkins are known as Turk's Turban.
