I bet this is going to make law-abiding Americans sleep more soundly in their beds...

There's not much point in commenting on this piece of idiocy - except, perhaps, to point out that, what with a growing number of targetted assassinations of US police officers, you'd thinks cops over there might have more important things to worry about right now than how they refer to dead people whose sexual identity is somewhat ambiguous. If the driving licence identifies "it" as a "he", then you go by whatever's printed on the driving licence. I mean, is this even worth talking about?

You can read the whole ridiculous story in American Thinker, here.

By the way, no matter no matter what it says on my driving licence or tax returns, I identify as a very large transgender labradoodle called Trixibelle Flufflebum.

Hell in a handcart. Seriously.

  1. I wonder how George Dixon [he of "Dock Green"] would have reacted to transgender training? I bet you that Bernard Hogan How's-your-Father is studying this with great interest. Another way of syphoning off large parts of the police budget into non- crime prevention. And lots of lovely new forms. Lumme...Nice one!

    1. They actually sent George on the first course of this kind to be held in Britain, after which he promptly handed in his truncheon, changed his name to Georgina, and joined the Women's Institute.

  2. I started to watch this clip and after about thirty seconds lost the will to lives so my comments are not based on a full experience of the broadcast BUT I can report that I fear for the sensible future of the western world. The leopard-hair story outlined elsewhere on this blog takes my misery to an ever greater nadir.
    Woe, woe, thrice woe.

    1. Don't worry, Riley - it doesn't improve after the first half-minute. I suspect the reason some police forces and some schools indulge in this sort of nonsense is that it provides career opportunities for terminally untalented staff members. For instance, getting yourself involved in "representation" (i.e. finding more ethnic minority producers and presenters) invariably acted as a fillip to stalled careers at the BBC. I'm sure there are several BBC employees currently leapfrogging rivals (as it were) by enthusiastically espousing the cause of the transgender, ethnic and disabled "communities". If only organisations started to punish these time-wasting wankers, it would all go away and we could go back to treating inviduals on merit.
